We thrilled to welcome Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland based artist Claudia Jowitt to Whanganui for a four-month residency at Tylee Cottage. Known for her innovative painting techniques, Jowitt’s work pushes the boundaries of what paint can do when it meets a diverse array of other media. Drawing on her European and Fijian heritage her unique works speak to a physical sense of place in the South Pacific. Jowitt will give an illustrated talk as an introduction to her practice.
