Te Whare o Rehua Sarjeant Gallery is proud to host the second Big Art Day Out, a one-day visual art conference for year 12 and 13 visual art students enrolled in our local Whanganui secondary schools. Four renowned artists will share space with our creative rangatahi. In the morning each artist will present to the group and after lunch students will engage in a hands-on workshop with their chosen artist, learning alongside them and expanding their artistic experience. These artists are considered to be masters in their fields and will share insights into the creative process.
Our artists this year are: Andrea Gardner (Photography), Tia Ranginui (Photography), Maihi Potaka-Butler (Multimedia) and Jade Townsend (Painting)
