Art Gallery Educators Symposium 2026: Inclusivity – Accessing Space and Knowledge

Cost: $75 per person.

The education teams at Te Whare o Rehua Sarjeant Gallery (Whanganui) and Te Manawa Museum (Papaoiea) are excited to co-host the second Art Educators Symposium in Te Tai Hauauru in the west.

We welcome our art gallery educators from across the motu, nau mai hoki mai, nau mai haere mai. This year we explore the idea of inclusivity and how we might appropriately access space and knowledge through a series of intentional presentations, experiences and hands-on activities. The purpose of the 3-day event is to connect with likeminded people in our sector and discuss and explore current issues, present ideas and offer inspiration to support our teachers collectively. It’s time to fill your cup and get inspired.

We look forward to sharing and activating space between Te Awa o Whanganui and Te Awa o Manawatu.
