The Sarjeant Gallery is a great place to learn! The building is beautiful and the exhibitions exciting. All our education programmes are FREE for Primary and Secondary School students.These programmes are funded by the Ministry of Education’s Learning Experiences Outside the Classroom initiative (LEOTC). The programmes we provide are based on the changing exhibition programme and the gallery’s permanent collection of over 5000 art works. Majority of the programmes include a practical session where students make their own work. Each session is negotiated with the teacher to ensure that student learning needs are met.

We have two educators, Sietske Jansma and Andrea Gardner who share the role of Gallery Educator. We hope to use this blog as a way of showing you what we do and for you to show us what you have done after you have visited. All queries and suggestions are welcome.
